Note: Submissions for the 2020 SG Migrant Worker Poetry Competition have closed.
The Migrant Worker & Refugee Poetry Competition is a platform for migrant workers and refugees to showcase their literary talents through poetry. The event is aimed to foster mutual understanding between locals and migrants as well as seeks to promote greater tolerance of multiculturalism and give a voice to refugees & lower wage foreign workers.
When & Where
Final round of judging happening live on our Facebook on 29 Nov, 4pm - 6pm.
Who can join?

Only Work Permit/S Pass/Special Pass holders in Singapore are eligible.

Winners (1st prize only) from 2014 - 2019 are not allowed to submit.

Each participant can submit 1 poem in any language

Only original works will be considered

Last date for submission: 30th September 2020 (11:59 PM)

Judges will shortlist entries by 30th October

Selected finalists will have to recite their shortlisted poems in a public event on 29th November 2020 for final judging

Entrants retain the copyright, the organizer retains the rights to publish and distribute any submitted poem and their translations
